Well isn’t that peculiar?

So, in Albuquerque they gave me a rental car with Texas plates.

Let me get this straight…I am a New Mexican who lives in California driving a car with Texas plates?

There is a joke in there somewhere. I’ll need another margarita to figure it out.

The same thing happened when my sister, who lives in Sacramento, came to visit me in Taos. The rental car she picked up in Albuquerque had Texas plates. I told her it was better that way; she can drive how she wants and the people in Taos would think she was another dumb*** from Texas. (Apologies to any of your readers from Texas; one of my best friends lives in Amarillo, but a lot of the people in Taos don't have the best opinions of Texans.)
