Hi Karen, thanks for the mariachi pic. It’s my b’day and I came across your site while searching for info on moradas. I’m listening to some great Mexican music: Lola Beltran, pedro Infante, Jose Alfredo Jimenez and Los Tigres del Norte! We need to work at opening borders and seeing the richness in cross-fertilization not falling back on xenophobia and hatred of the “other”. We have more in common with our neighbors to the south than differences.

¡Feliz Cumpleaños gregori!!
I had a good friend in college who was born today. We’d start celebrating on the 5th and continue on to the 7th (my birthday).
So today I share my birthday love with you. And if I could figure out how to get a piece of the cake I just baked over to you, I would! :)
Thanks for stopping by!

Thanks for the wish and the cake! I would love a piece! I’m in Albuquerque by the way… I know the feeling of being away in order to appreciate NM. I lived in SLO during college and I never quite fit the CA image… I was the outsider. Especially because the school didn’t accept any out-of-staters (snuck in through a loop hole)
I hope you have a great Birthday tomorrow and I’ll stop by again some time!
