    L- hi! Glad you found your way here! We ex-pat New Mexicans have to stick together!

    Wow, NM to NOLA. That's quite a culture shift. Been reading your blog, and it's good stuff. I'm going to bookmark you too. I'd love to keep up with how you adjust to the South (your post on the continuing segregation that exists is similar to what I noticed when I visited the South. Where we come from, this doesn't happen!)

    Whats funny is people from here who have read that particular blog post (segregation in the south) are completely surprised and confused by it. to them, its not noticeable at all. I think coming from the Southwest has definitely shaped my attitude in all matters of race and ethnicity.
