*Gulp*
Not gonna explain why.
Just going to say this photograph made me well up.
Miss you, my Fair New Mexico

I don't know the significance, but I know this is a beautiful picture.

Doug – the short answer is…it's home and I'm a skosh homesick.

Like yourself, I left New Mexico — for 20 years. I returned five years ago. As a kid I lived here on and off and never really explored the state. Having returned I have become quite the explorer, visiting many places locals I know have never been to or heard of [you would be surprised at how many locals have no idea the Civil War was even fought in southern NM, much less northern.
I have just attended my third balloon fiesta and am still amazed by it. I still have to pull off to the side of the road and gawk upward.
Cool blog, btw.

Hi Mick! I dig your blog too! I added you to my blogroll.
Thanks for the comment and for the balloon fiesta shots on your page!!
Take in a green chile relleno and a NM sunrise for me!
