Should We Adopt Him?

He was born in the Dominican Republic and plays for Detroit….but the young relief pitcher might just be one of our own.

What do you say? Should we adopt Al Alburquerque?

He’s even got the extra r. I think we should.

Cool! But. . .um. . .he doesn’t play for the Yankees.
Of course, if he’s that good, he will eventually. Then we can talk about adoption. For now, I think he’ll just have to be a foster-child for me.
(How’s that for smug NYer ‘tude?)
